Live Blog from Worst Practices Session

I couldn't let this week at Lotusphere go by without live blogging at least once from a session, and I couldn't have picked a better session to start. The Scotch-Irish comedy duo of Bill Buchan and Paul Mooney are at this moment regaling a captive audience with true tales of legendary Domino screwups. Everything from replacing the design of the Domino Directory with the Notes Mail template to dropping a new scheduled agent into production Friday afternoon that runs on all documents on all servers all across the large global installation, generating ~1.4 million replication conflicts per hour.

Great stuff!

1 - I sat next to you during the make-over session. Didn't know you were from the DC area, I work next to BWI and live in Rockville. I wish I had made this session, sounds like it was a riot.

Maybe I'll catch you at a LNUG meeting sometime. Take care.

2 - Hi Michael,

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I remember you - too bad we didn't chat more. We should be clear though for the non-Lotus folk that the "make-over" you refer to pertains to making over a Domino website so it looks good, not some sort of spa treatment !
